Primary objective of this conference was to create a premier forum for the international researchers, scholars and academicians to share their research results in the fields of Nanomedicine and Nanotechnology. We believed that we successfully achieved this objective during the conference. The conference was chaired by the International Expert in Nanotechnology Dr. Carlo Montemagno Director of Ingenuity Lab of University of Alberta, Canada and the keynotes were delivered by Dr. Carlo Montemagno, Prof. Alexander M. Seifalian, Dr. Mark Kester, and Dr. Eui-Hyeok Yang. The plenary speeches were delivered by Dr. Paul Sheehan, USA; Prof. Sergey S. The Workshop on “How to take your nano research from laboratory to patient and commercialisation?” by Prof. Alexander M. Seifalian, University College London, UK created a relaxed atmosphere among audience and enabled the attendees to learn extremes.

The conference schedule divided into 7 themes:

  • Nanomaterials Synthesis and Fabrication
  • Advanced Nanomaterials
  • Nano Electronics
  • Nanotechnology in Science and Medicine
  • Nano for Energy and Environment
  • Applications of Nanotechnology
  • Nanotechnology: Environment, Health & Safety Issues

In the award ceremony, the Best Poster Awards were received by
1. Xiaoping Xin, University of Florida, USA
2. Alejandra Huerta-Squero, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Mexico
3. Leon Sanche, Universite de sherbrooke, Canada

The conference proceedings will be published in HSOA Journal of Nanotechnology: Nanomedicine & Nanobiotechnology as special issue. For an idea of the conference proceedings visit:

We hope to receive the same cooperation from the committee and editorial board for the 2nd International Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology will be scheduled at Florida, USA.
